Application advice

Today I was mostly catching up after being out of town for the weekend. I printed off the applications that came in and entered the info on our spreadsheet. One thing that has been the biggest issue for students on the application - is not following directions! This is so important - make sure that you always check out what is needed, what materials are requested and send that. You do NOT get bonus points for sending 60 pages when 2 are specified!  If the directions indicate you should draw an ecomap - then do that - do not use a program and make sure that you lay it out as indicated. An application is not a place to get creative. Your information will be compared to everyone else's, so if you are missing pieces, you will lose points in the scoring. We would like to have everyone who is interested participate, but we simply cannot risk having people who can't follow instructions.
